The Junior Master Gardener Program is an international youth gardening program operated nationwide through the Cooperative Extension network.

JMG is “Growing Good Kids” by igniting a passion for learning, success and service through a unique gardening education.

JMG inspires youths to be of service to others through leadership development and service learning projects and rewards them with certification and recognition.

JMG Teacher/Leader Training events are offered throughout the year on request and can be hosted at a school or community center by scheduling with the Extension 4-H JMG Specialist. All JMG workshop participants receive CEU credits for professional development. The workshop sessions covering the JMG curriculum are presented in a hands-on interactive format. The JMG Curriculum contains over 400 cross curricular activities, which are TEKS aligned, STEM based and STAR ready. It covers a broad range of topics including horticulture, nutrition and environmental stewardship. The JMG curriculum and material prepares participants to get involved . For further details on the JMG program visit the web site at WWW.JMGKIDS.US.
